What's frustrating is the general apathy and state of denial that people, even those who will be most affected by the expropriations, etc. seem submerged in. It still isn't real for them and when the bulldozers are at the door, they'll wonder why nobody did anything.
The few active volunteers in this fight are getting increasingly discouraged by the lack of support and resources available to them and need to see more people get involved. I personally think that private companies and/or professionals in the area have something (expertise, resources) to contribute to the cause. There is so much potential for a real revolution in how we see transportation in this city. We need to seize this opportunity to make a radical change for the better. Public information/publicity campaigns that will excite and engage the public (and counter the propaganda coming from the MTQ) are what we need. People need to feel that they have a fighting chance in this battle. For now, I think people are giving up before they even try... We need a leader, a visionary who will champion the cause...
